Cat website photoCatherine is the primary Paralegal to both Karen Vaughn and Kelli Espaillat.  Catherine primarily focuses on Criminal Law, Juvenile Law, Education Law and some Family Law matters.  Catherine has experience in Bankruptcy for the Western District of North Carolina and as well as Real Estate Law.  She maintains the office located in Mooresville and is the main point of contact for all clients.

Catherine received her Associates Degree in Applied Science of Paralegal Studies at King’s College in December, 2003, located in Charlotte, NC.  While attending King’s, she maintained a 4.0 GPA and Dean’s List status during her college education.  She was the first to receive an internship at the North Carolina Attorney General’s Office in the Law Enforcement Liaison Section, while gaining knowledge in the Death Penalty Appeals Unit and Prosecutorial Unit.  Her duties included prepping for NC Supreme Court hearings and Administrative Hearings involving any and all law enforcement and gun regulations throughout the state.  She went back to school to finish her B.S. in Psychology, majoring in Behavioral and Adolescent Psychology with a minor in Social Services at Wingate University.

When she is not working, she enjoys time with her boyfriend and their two daughters.  They all share a passion for animals and many of their animals are rescue, including two dogs and too many senior cats, plus a chinchilla who likes to bark.  When time permits, they enjoy the nice escape to the mountains of NC to see the beautiful Waterfalls.
